Ayatollahs’ Lobby In Washington Offering Human Rights As A Negotiating Item

Hassan Daoleslam: "The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) and its president Trita Parsi plan to organize a panel in the US House of Representatives on July 26th, 2007, titled “Human Rights in Iran and US Foreign Policy Options”. According to the published agenda, representatives from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch will participate. The sponsors of the program (NIAC and Trita Parsi) are key players in the lobby enterprise of Tehran’s ayatollahs in the United States. The Iranian regime’s violations of human rights have reached unprecedented levels. Its barbaric suppression of women, workers, students and dissidents, and the stoning of a man after 11 years of imprisonment, have been the subject of broad international condemnation."

The Iranian regime has been arresting students, journalists, ethnic, and political activist and sentencing them to death. The recent killings of twelve men falsely accused for offences such as rape and kidnapping are just examples of the regime’s latest crimes against humanity.

  

 

Two out of the twelve men who were hanged are Baluch. The regime has planned to execute more than 700 Baluch and has moved them to other cities.

مدتیست که نامه های زیادی برایم آمده که چرا راجع به سودابه اردوان نوشته ام و چرا از حق مارینا نعمت دفاع کرده ام. از دید من سودابه اردوانها قهرمان نیستند بلکه انسانهایی هستند که به دلیل باورهایشان به ناحق به زندان افتاده اند. اما چطور هست یادمان نرود که افرادی که انقلاب کردند و بعدها به دلایل سیاسی و عقیدتی به زندان افتادند و حتی گروه گروه توسط جانیان رژیم به قتل رسیدند خود نقش اساسی در به ثمر رسیدن انقلاب داشتند. چرا باید یادمان برود که این افراد و یا افرادی با باورهای مشابه کسانی بودند که افسران ارتش و یا کارمندان سازمان اطلاعات و امنیت و خانواده هایشان را تکه پاره کردند و خانه هایشان را به آتش کشیدند. آیا برای کودک سروان و یا سرهنگ فلانی که پدرانشان در جلوی چشم خانواده هایشان تکه پاره شده اند و یا آن کارمند سازمان اطلاعات و امنیت که در گوشه اتاق از ترس سکته کرده است، و آن بسیار دیگری که تیرباران شدند و یا زندانی، افرادی مثل همین خانمها و آقایان که بعدا به دلیل باورهای سیاسی سر از زندانهای رژیم در آوردند، ظالمان مظلوم نما محسوب نمی شوند؟ خانم منیره برادران در جایی نوشته مارینا نعمت دوازده ساله چطور پیش بینی کرده بوده که سرنوشت انقلاب چه می شود؟ از دید من هر انسانی در هر سنی اگر در تعصب حزبی و مذهبی غوطه ور نشده بود می توانست ببیند که خونریزی نشانه خوبی برای یک شروع تازه نیست. به همین سادگی. سوال در این است که بسیاری از این افراد بعد از این همه سال قربانی رژیم آخوندی بودن به این باور نرسیده اند که همه انسانها حقوق برابر دارند و مارینا نعمتها حتی اگر در نوشتن خاطرات خود تخیل و حتی در بدترین حالت دروغ نوشته باشند باید بنویسند. شما هم خاطرات خود را بنویسید. امیدوارم روزی هم کودکان ساواکیها و ارتشیان هم که پدرانشان توسط شورشیان یا همان قهرمانان و سیاسیون و زندانی رفته های چند سال بعد از دست دادند بنویسند که تاریخمان فقط یک طرفه نباشد.

Abolish the Death Penalty in Iran

Increasingly, the Iranian government has utilized the death penalty to silence opposition to its political, social and cultural agenda. Over the past few years Iran has had the second highest number of reported executions than any other country in the world. In particular, Iranian government has contravened a multitude of its obligations both under the Iranian Constitution and under international law.

Amnesty International reports that 24 child offenders have been executed in Iran since 1990, 11 of whom were under 18 at the time of their execution. In most cases, the authorities waited until child offenders turned 18 before executing them. Moreover, it is reported that there are at least 71 child offenders who are currently under sentence of death in Iran.

Iran is also one of seven countries in the world that carry the death penalty for homosexual acts: all of them justify this punishment with Islamic law.

Lastly, Iran has used the death penalty to attack political opponents who use peaceful means in which to attack the government's human rights records.

The death penalty is the ultimate violation of the right to life. When used arbitrarily it is no different than state sanctioned murder. We ask that the Iranian government abolish the death penalty in any case so that the rights recognized under Iranian and international law are both respected and protected.

I am not doing too well. The first six months of my pregnancy I am very sick. The little girl is another story. She refuses to drink her medication and the first two days she cried at different hours of the night. P didn’t go to work today so that we could take her to hospital. Now she has a pink cast on her broken leg and seems to be feeling safer when moving. Poor child has lost so much weight that her face resembles a Nokhod (Chickpea).

دختر کوچولو رو بردیم بیمارستان که پاش رو گچ بگیرن. این چند روزه اصلا غذا نخورده. صورت بچه اندازه نخود شده. حال خودم هم اصلا تعریفی نداره. این شش ماه اول حاملگی ام دیگه معده ام توی حلقم نشسته.

  

 

کنفرانس زنان، شعر خوانی من... پای دختر کوچولوم که شکست و... و خواهر هجده ساله مهری...

دیروز بعد شعر خونی جایی طبقه بالا با امی گودمن کتاب امضا می کردم و افراد زیادی آمدند تا براشون کتابهاشون رو امضا کنم و هر کدوم به نوعی قلبم رو تحت تاثیر حرفهاشون قرار دادند. آقایی که گفت شعر آخرم که برای مادرم خواندم تمام تنش رو تکون داده بود و یا خانمی که خواهرش رو در اثر سرطان پستان از دست داده بود و یا خانم جوانی که پدرش رو در اثر سرطان ریه. دکتر ادبیاتی که مرا بسیار مورد لطف خود قرار داد و دعوتهایی که به جاهای مختلف شدم یا خانمی که گفت انگار هدف تمام این سفر او این بوده که شعر من روحش را تکان بدهد... اما... دو خانم پیشم آمدند. یکی که زن هنرمندی بهایی بود و از من برای اینکه درد مردم بهایی ایرانی را گرچه خودم بهایی نیستم به تصویر می کشم تشکر کرد و دیگری خانمی که گفت: شب گذشته فیلم گیلانه را دیده بوده و بسیار گریسته بوده اما نه به اندازه ای که شنیدن اشعار من او را منقلب کرده بوده است. گفت که خواهر هجده ساله اش را رژیم کشته بوده. بغلش کردم و گریه کرد و من هرچند که ساده به گوش بیاد اما گفتم نمی گذارم هیچوقت صدای خواهر هجده ساله اتون نشنیده بمونه. من فراموش نمی کنم.
